10 August, 2019 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

PumpHouse Museum Curator Talks and Tours. Join Curators Melissa Cruise and Tom Riddolls for two, 20-minute talks about current PumpHouse exhibition, “Ontario Street: Brewers, Bakers and Boilermakers, 1830-1970.” Following the talks, join the curators for a walking tour along Ontario Street, ending up at the PumpHouse.

The exhibition is an urban history with a sociocultural focus on the people who called Ontario Street -- long the industrial and commercial engine of Kingston -- their places of employment, residence, provision and leisure, and their intergenerational social and commercial connections with each other and with larger themes that define the street and Kingston more generally.

*Note: This tour happens in front of City Hall as part of the Ontario Street, A vibrant spaces project
